This monument in the centre of Kizel is devoted to a legendary intelligence man Alyosha Schukin. The sculpture depicts a young resident of Kizel full length, dressed in a soldier’s blouse and particularly at that age when he first appeared on the frontline. Alyosha Schukin ran away from home to the battlefield at the age of 12, survived through the full duration of the war and was awarded “For defense of Stalingrad” and “Services in battle” medals. The boy perished in 1945 when he was only 14 years old. The monument of the author Pavel Bayazitov appeals for eternalizing memory of all the children of the War generation.
